Chapter Nineteen
CONTAGIOUS ENERGY
Stiletto felt a bit disappointed after she called Spazâs cell phone and he did not pick up, so she decided to call her cousin. âHello. Whatâs up, Teesha? Girl, you will not believe who I bumped into today?â
âWho, girl? Tell me.â
âSpaz. Remember the dude that tried to holla sometime back when he was with your boy Slugger?â
âOh yeah, thatâs right. I remember. I am glad for you. Itâs time for you to give those cookies up. You know Spaz is getting plenty of paper.â
âHe gave me his number today while I was on my way to the hair salon. He was looking good in that new GT coupe. I just called him, and he did not pick up the phone.â
âGirl, you better call him again before another bitch beats you to the punch. He is a winner.â
âI am not trying to get caught up in love again.â Her phone beeped.
âI know what you mean, girl.â
âI will call you later. This is him calling me on the other line.â Stiletto ended her call with Teesha and answered her other line. âHello.â
âYo, did somebody just call Spaz?â
âYes, itâs Stiletto.â
âStiletto, where do I know you from?â
âI met you today at the red light.â
âOh shit, my bad. Whatâs up, baby?â
âNot much, just laying back in the tub, chilling.â
âOh yeah. Do you need some company over there?â
âI might, but not tonight.â
âAll right, well listen . . . I would like to spend some time with you tomorrow if youâre available. I was thinking of hanging out at a nice sports bar or lounge so we can get to know each other.â
âThat sounds good.â
âAll right. So what time will you be available?â
âHow does 8:00 p.m. sound?â
âThat sounds good, baby girl. I got some business to take care of right now. I will see you tomorrow at eight.â
Stiletto hung up the phone with a smile and began to fantasize about their first intimate encounter. She relaxed in the hot bubble bath while listening to Alicia Keyâs single âNo One.â Damn, I forgot to ask him if he had a girl! Redz and his baby and his death was more than enough drama for one relationship. Iâd have to kill a nigga for real.
Around 7:55 p.m., a horn beeped, which startled Stiletto. She was surprised that Spaz was actually on time.
Stiletto headed out the door and walked to the cream Bentley GT. She smiled as Spaz kissed her on the cheek.
âHello, beautiful. You look amazing!â he said with his eyes glued on her physique.
âThank you. You look great yourself.â
Spaz took Stilettoâs hand. He opened the passenger door and waited for her to sit comfortably before he shut the door. Stiletto took note of his suave style. He wore a tan Gucci blazer with dark blue True Religion jeans and tan Gucci sneakers. She was fascinated with how good he looked. It was almost like the waves in his hair matched his swagger.
âSo what line of business you in? Selling drugs, robbing, and extortion?â she asked curiously.
âNo, Iâm not a drug dealer.
